I do a lot of open houses—seriously, a lot! If I list your property, you can bet I’ll do everything in my power to sell it, and that includes plenty of open houses! On one of my listings, I met a couple from the city who were thinking it was time to escape urban life and move to the countryside. I set them up with an auto email to receive properties that met their criteria and price point, and we spent a couple of months looking at rural options.

The moment we pulled into the driveway of one property and saw the triple-car garage, my clients were thrilled—and let me tell you, a happy client makes for a happy agent! Walking through the front door, they were even more delighted to see the stunning setting of the yard, surrounded by a young deciduous forest.

They listed their city home, but the market took a downturn. We made an offer in June, hoping to close quickly. Four amendments later, and with the help of an incredible agent on the other end, we didn’t close until the end of October—after their city house sold. Sometimes, there are factors no one can predict. That’s why they say the best time to act is now—who knows what could happen tomorrow!
